This Privacy Policy explains what information TEK2KAREER collects through its website, student services, learning systems, and Google Sign-In; how that information is used, disclosed, secured, retained, and deleted; and the choices available to users.

1 Scope and institutional status

TEK2KAREER is operated by KaizeNova Technologies LLC under the assumed name TEK2KAREER. TEK2KAREER is a Michigan state-authorized proprietary school. State authorization permits the school to operate under Michigan law but does not constitute endorsement by the State of Michigan, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Michigan Works!, or another government agency.

TEK2KAREER is private, for-profit, non-accredited, and non-degree-granting. It does not currently participate in federal Title IV student-aid programs. This Policy applies to information controlled by TEK2KAREER and does not govern independent websites or systems operated by Google, payment processors, Michigan Works! agencies, Michigan Training Connect, employers, scholarship organizations, or other third parties.

2 Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Identity and contact information, including name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, date of birth, preferred contact method, and emergency contact information.
  • Admissions and enrollment information, including application materials, prior education, transcripts, eligibility documents, enrollment agreements, acknowledgments, signatures, program, cohort, and enrollment status.
  • Academic and participation information, including attendance, clock hours, progress, grades, assessments, assignments, projects, credentials, instructor feedback, integrity records, and support notes.
  • Financial and funding information, including tuition arrangements, invoices, payments, refunds, sponsorships, employer reimbursement, and workforce-program authorization information. Full payment-card credentials are ordinarily handled by the applicable payment processor.
  • Communications and support information, including emails, forms, surveys, advising records, accommodation requests, complaints, appeals, and student-support communications.
  • Career-support information voluntarily provided for resume, portfolio, interview, coaching, or authorized employer-referral services.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, operating-system, IP-address, approximate location derived from IP, language, referring page, cookie, and session information.
  • Website, portal, and LMS activity, including sign-in history, page views, course access, downloads, timestamps, assignment submissions, quiz attempts, completion events, and error logs.
  • Security and integrity information, including authentication events, account changes, audit logs, access anomalies, document controls, and reports of suspected misuse.

2.3 Information from other sources

TEK2KAREER may receive information from an authorized payer, employer, sponsoring organization, Michigan Works! agency, workforce system, referral partner, identity or signature service, instructor, service provider, or publicly available professional source. TEK2KAREER uses this information only for a disclosed educational, contractual, operational, security, or legal purpose.

3 Google Sign In and Google user data

TEK2KAREER may allow a user to sign in to its website, student portal, LMS, or other authorized services using Google Sign-In. When a user selects Google Sign-In, TEK2KAREER may receive the information the user authorizes Google to provide, such as name, email address, profile image, and a unique Google account identifier.

TEK2KAREER uses Google user data to authenticate identity, create or connect an account, manage access to educational services, maintain account security, prevent fraud, provide support, and operate the functionality requested by the user. TEK2KAREER will request only permissions reasonably necessary for those functions. The Google authorization screen identifies the permissions requested before the user grants access.

Unless TEK2KAREER gives additional notice and obtains any required authorization, Google Sign-In does not authorize TEK2KAREER to access a user’s Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar, photos, or other Google service content. If TEK2KAREER later enables a feature that requires additional Google API permissions, it will update the relevant disclosures before using the additional data.

TEK2KAREER does not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or transfer it to data brokers. Google user data may be disclosed only to authorized service providers as necessary to operate or secure the service, at the user’s direction or with consent, as required by law, or as part of a lawful organizational transaction subject to appropriate protections.

TEK2KAREER’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

3.1 Disconnecting Google Sign In and requesting deletion

A user may revoke TEK2KAREER’s Google Account access through the third-party connections or security settings in the user’s Google Account. Revoking access stops future access through the revoked authorization but does not automatically delete information already maintained by TEK2KAREER.

To request deletion of Google-derived account information or a TEK2KAREER account, contact info@tek2kareer.com. TEK2KAREER will delete eligible information after verifying the request, except when

retention is necessary for academic records, licensing, financial records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

4 How we use information

  • Provide inquiries, admissions, enrollment, orientation, instruction, assessment, advising, student support, credentialing, transcript, and alumni services.
  • Verify identity, execute agreements, manage accounts, maintain records, track attendance and progress, evaluate completion requirements, and administer withdrawals and refunds.
  • Process tuition, payment plans, refunds, employer payments, scholarships, or workforce-authorized payments and maintain supporting records.
  • Communicate about applications, enrollment, schedules, classes, payments, security, policies, services, and requested information.
  • Protect accounts, systems, curriculum, and academic integrity; investigate misuse; prevent fraud; and enforce institutional agreements.
  • Provide career-readiness support or an employer referral at the student’s direction without guaranteeing employment, placement, wages, advancement, or funding.
  • Comply with licensing, oversight, audit, tax, accounting, complaint, records-preservation, insurance, contractual, and legal obligations.
  • Improve accessibility, curriculum delivery, platform reliability, support quality, and institutional operations, using aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably feasible.

5 How we disclose information

TEK2KAREER does not sell personal information and does not disclose personal information for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising. TEK2KAREER may disclose information as reasonably necessary to:

  • Authorized instructors, advisors, administrators, finance personnel, compliance personnel, and technology or security staff with a legitimate institutional need.
  • Service providers that host, secure, support, transmit, sign, store, or process information for TEK2KAREER under applicable instructions and protections.
  • Michigan LEO and authorized proprietary-school representatives for licensing, inspection, oversight, complaints, records, or school-closure obligations.
  • Michigan Works! agencies, workforce programs, sponsors, employers, scholarship organizations, or payers when authorized or required to administer approved funding or support.
  • Professional advisors, auditors, insurers, and legal counsel subject to appropriate confidentiality duties.
  • Courts, law enforcement, regulators, or government authorities in response to lawful process or to protect rights, safety, systems, or legal claims.
  • A successor organization in a lawful merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate notice and protections.
  • Other recipients at the individual’s direction or with valid consent.

6 Student records and Michigan requirements

Michigan proprietary-school requirements obligate TEK2KAREER to maintain specified student records and make relevant records available to authorized LEO representatives. TEK2KAREER may preserve and disclose records needed for licensing, inspections, program oversight, complaints, school closure, or other authorized regulatory activity.

TEK2KAREER retains grade records and transcripts permanently as required by applicable Michigan proprietary-school requirements. Enrollment, attendance, progress, financial, award, interview, placement,

completion, and withdrawal records are retained for at least the legally required period and may ordinarily be retained for seven years when needed for institutional, audit, tax, contractual, or workforce-program purposes.

FERPA generally applies to educational institutions receiving funds under a program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Based on TEK2KAREER’s current non-Title-IV status, TEK2KAREER does not represent that FERPA automatically governs every TEK2KAREER record. TEK2KAREER nevertheless follows FERPA-aligned principles such as role-based access, disclosure limitation, reasonable access and correction procedures, documented authorization, and secure disposal where consistent with applicable law.

7 Michigan Works and workforce programs

Michigan Works! agencies, LEO, Michigan Training Connect, and related workforce systems are independent from TEK2KAREER. A listing or authorization does not guarantee participant eligibility, training approval, funding, payment, enrollment, completion, or employment. The appropriate workforce agency determines eligibility, appropriateness, funding availability, and written authorization.

When a student seeks or receives authorized workforce support, TEK2KAREER may exchange the minimum information necessary to administer that support, such as program and cost information, enrollment, attendance, clock hours, progress, completion, credential, withdrawal, refund, invoice, reimbursement, and outcome information. Independent agencies and government systems apply their own privacy, public-records, security, and retention rules.

8 Payments cookies and communications

Independent payment providers may process payment credentials under their own terms and privacy notices. TEK2KAREER receives the transaction information needed to reconcile tuition, issue receipts, process refunds, address disputes, and maintain business records. Users should follow only payment instructions provided through an official TEK2KAREER channel.

TEK2KAREER may use essential cookies for authentication, security, session continuity, accessibility, and preferences, and limited analytics to understand website and course performance. Where required, nonessential cookies will be disclosed and controlled through an appropriate consent mechanism. Blocking essential cookies may prevent portions of the portal or LMS from functioning.

TEK2KAREER may send operational emails, text messages, or calls regarding an inquiry, enrollment, payment, schedule, class, security event, policy, or student service. Promotional communications will include legally required identification and opt-out methods. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary educational, transactional, or security communications.

9 Security

TEK2KAREER uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of its operations. Measures may include encryption in transit, encryption at rest where supported, multifactor authentication, role-based access, least-privilege permissions, secure configuration, backups, audit logging, service-provider review, confidentiality obligations, incident response, and secure destruction.

No system is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials, using strong unique passwords, enabling multifactor authentication when available, maintaining secure devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. TEK2KAREER will not ask a user to send a password or one-time authentication code through ordinary email or chat.

14 Changes to this Policy

TEK2KAREER may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, institutional operations, service providers, security practices, or technology. The revised version will display an updated date.
